PAIN

This is a compilation of some of the many unsolicited reports of pain relief in a wide variety of types of pain, divided into the following categories:

General pain
Hip, knee, ankle, foot pain
Shoulder, arm, elbow pain
Neck pain
Back, disk pain
Sciatic pain
Gout pain
Stiffness.

The pain issues are italicized and the descriptions of other benefits experienced in addition to pain relief as these students did the TQI Diet remain as well.

GENERAL PAIN

♦ I am thrilled with the fact that TQI has eliminated most of the arthritic aches and pains that I had.

♦ I am feeling much better; no headaches, my energy has returned, my achy joints and muscles are quiet, my mood, stamina and ability to follow through have all greatly improved. It is such a relief to be back!

♦ I was surprised how quickly my pain went away once I began the plan. My pain is now gone and my doctor is planning on taking me off my blood pressure medication. As an added bonus, I lost 20lbs, which at my age of 87 is quite unusual. And I am regular, regular, regular.

♦ I have had severe joint pain for a year and a half. I’ve gone through several tests and was taking Advil every day but my doctors couldn’t find anything wrong. My rheumatologist recommended TQI. I started on the plan last Monday. Today I have not needed to take any Advil! It’s amazing. A side benefit is that I’ve lost 7 pounds. I also feel like I have greater mental clarity and focus. This eating plan is a godsend!

♦ My doctor was totally impressed that I’m back to my original weight and I’ve never felt better. My inflammation is GONE! All the arthritic body and finger pain is gone, 24/7 it’s gone.

♦ Lost 6 pounds and 4 waist inches. Main change is much less pain and no more ibuprofen

HIP, KNEE, ANKLE, FEET PAIN

♦ Firstly, I am 39 and have some pretty bad arthritis in both my hips. I’ve been struggling with the pain for years and this diet was the last thing before seriously thinking about double hip replacement. I can honestly say, that this diet is the closest thing to a miracle in my life. The pain has gone down dramatically.

♦ It’s been a bit over five and a half months since I took the TQI class. The pain in my knees, ankles and feet is long gone. (Most of it was gone after just a few weeks.)

♦ I was having problems in my left elbow where I have some steel screws from an accident 20 years ago. While that joint remains weaker than my right, the joint pain is gone. So is the hip pain in my right hip. It’s so great to have my clothes feel looser within 6 days.

♦ My left foot/ankle pain has reduced to zero on most days.

♦ My knees no longer hurt when I climb stairs

♦ My husband and I took the class together; he never got serious, but I did. Within 3-4 weeks I noticed that my neck, hip, and foot pain was completely gone. Then, much to my delight, I started dropping weight around the 7th week and lost a total of 30 pounds. I started slacking off and gained 5 pounds back. I wasn’t too concerned until I noticed the foot and hip pain returning, so I signed us both up for a refresher course. Now, three weeks in, the pain is gone. This time my husband is on board about 90%. While he’s not getting all benefits he could, he has lost 8 pounds and says his body feels healthier than it has in years: fewer pains, better sleep, and better elimination.

♦ My husband woke one day with such pain in his neck, he could not move his head, it hurt to even move, so I took him to urgent care because his pain was a 10. Then I convinced him to try the TQI diet. Now his pain is almost gone, he’s more limber than ever (he’s 79), he has no more post nasal drip and the bottom of his feet don’t hurt when he walks. As a bonus, he lost 12 pounds.

♦ I have lost count on how many times I have taken your class. it is the best. I have no pain even on my bunion. It is truly amazing.

♦ I took my first class online because I’ve been unable to walk without pain for about 7 months. I’ve had much less pain from day three. Today I woke up with no leg pain and have been walking around doing errands (previously I needed a cane to leave the house). I’m gob-smacked.

♦ My knee pain usually wakes me in the wee hours of the night, I cannot remember how many years it has been since I have not been abruptly woken with this pain. I have now had 4 nights pain free. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 8 years ago, one of the symptoms of my Fibro is brain fog. It is debilitating and sometimes very embarrassing at work. My mind is clearer than it has ever been.

♦ I lost 15 pounds in the first three months on this diet. More importantly, the chronic hip and plantar fasciitis I have had for the past five years, which did not respond to normal medical care, was gone after three weeks. I am a converted skeptic.

♦ My journey began 3 years ago. I quit eating sugar to counteract a very bad reaction to an antibiotic which caused me severe nerve pain in my hands and feet. I weighed 263 lbs. I lost 25 lbs with that change, and my hands did get better, but then I heard about TQI a year ago. I took the class and I’ve lost another 60 lbs. My feet miraculously don’t hurt anymore. I have my life back. I can run without getting out of breath, I can walk miles without any foot pain, and I look really cute. (That is, as cute as a 5’5″ – 59-year-old woman who weighs 177 can look). Best though, I started feeding my husband this way. He’s a tall skinny guy who suffered from really high cholesterol (350) and colitis. After eating with me this way since October (he really had no choice), his cholesterol is now 212 and he has no colitis.

♦ It has been 12 weeks since the first night of class. I have not been perfect, but I have been consistent. I have lost 25 pounds and I’m down a size. I’m able to walk 2 miles without pain in my feet. My blood pressure is back to normal. My energy is up.

♦ I have both knees replaced, one foot fused and was headed for the other foot fusion surgery soon. I also have back issues, and when I hit the 242-pound mark, numbness and aching in my right hand and down my right leg. In just this first week, I feel better. The pain in my foot has lessened, my depression has lifted, my energy is better and I am hopeful that I have found a real solution for my struggle with weight gain and pain.

♦ I started the TQI Diet just 6 days ago and want to report that my leg pain is already diminishing! I have had severe hip and leg pain for years now, and go on a regular round of chiropractor, physical therapist and massage therapist. I’m amazed at how quickly the TQI Diet has been able to calm my symptoms, even without exercise. Now I’m looking forward to adding stretching and movement exercises to increase my ability to live pain-free.

♦ I have lost 6 pounds – but best is that the swollen ankle and numbness in my toes I have endured for many months are no longer! Also, I can walk better because my arthritic knees are not so stiff. I would never have believed that two weeks on a diet could cause such results.

♦ The best news is that my right knee which had been painful for more than three decades improved 75% after the first four days on TQI and is now around 85-90% healed. Going up and down stairs is almost thrilling today, normally it’s one step at a time, with the left leg doing all of the work and my right knee wavering about six inches to the center ever step I take. Now I walked straight up and down the stairs just like a normal person, this is so exciting. And for the second day in a row my bunion on my left foot is not hurting like crazy after walking, it’s not hot and inflamed either. That was a bit beyond my hopes and expectations because I can see that the joint has problems physically. So, all is better than good.

♦ My joints and body feels better. In particular my ankles (broken 3 times), knees (one had surgery for a torn meniscus), hips and digestion (3 surgeries on this system) are all much improved. I feel better and have lost a bit over 3 pounds in two weeks. I love to dance and had been dancing 2-4 times a week before I broke my ankle and tore my meniscus the last time (about 2 years ago). This weekend, I put on my dance shoes, danced like no one was looking, and wondered if I would be hobbled up the next morning. Nope. Hopped out of bed with no ill effects! That was wonderful and I will have to try it out again soon, I’m hoping to an activity that I love.

♦ My aching knees feel much, much better and consistently so. I stand a lot on the job but after standing for 2 hours, I had absolutely no pain and no swelling. A 100% change from just a few months ago, doing the very same thing –it’s astounding. and wonderful. I feel amazing! My mood has been consistently elevated and my energy level is consistent from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. It’s like I’m just humming along. Also sleeping really well, and falling asleep easily, even with this increase in energy and mood during waking hours.

♦ Big improvement (~75%) in Achilles tendonitis! I’ve had swollen, painful Achilles tendons (both legs) for over a year, and orthotics helped only temporarily. I wasn’t expecting this to clear up and my general stiffness has decreased!

SHOULDER, ARM, ELBOW PAIN

♦ I was having problems in my left elbow where I have some steel screws from an accident 20 years ago. While that joint remains weaker than my right, the joint pain is gone. So is the hip pain in my right hip. It’s so great to have my clothes feel looser within 6 days. My left foot/ankle pain has reduced to zero on most days.

♦ Oh wow! My hands work again!!! I can open jars, perform Downward Dog in Yoga class and the persistent aching at the nexus of my thumb and wrist is gone! I am down one pant size. Abdomen is shrinking. Swollen thumb is almost gone. Range of motion in neck is much better. Energy is much better.

♦ The month before the class started the muscles in my upper arms ached and it felt like my humerus was aching as well. Things were especially painful at night and the arthritis in my hands was getting worse. I thought I was doing everything perfectly. Then class started and I started reading the book. Monday I read a section in chapter 23 pg 256 “are you truly closely following the plan?” Hilarious! But painful. Next day my upper arms still ached and I read “Are you eating proportionate meals. At least two thirds of every lunch, dinner, and snack to consists of vegetables and fruit with an emphasis on green vegetables rather than fruit.” No, I wasn’t! Now I have doubled upon greens and veggies at each snack and meal and the aching is gone as well as the arthritis in my hands. I knew better but there it is. This is why we take the class over and over again. 🙂 Too much for our little brains to handle.

♦ I wanted you to know that the diet is wonderful! I’m not hungry and am losing approximately 3/4 pound per day. I haven’t had any arthritis pain in my hands and fingers since I started the diet.

♦ I have struggled with weight and health issues for the last 35 years. When I took the TQI class two months ago I was having pretty extreme neck, shoulder and hand pain. Today, my weight is the lowest it has been since high school – 125, I am in shock. My neck and shoulder pain went from about an 8 out of 10 to a 2 out of 10 most days. My hand pain has also decreased noticeably and I sleep sounder -AMAZING!

♦ Left elbow pain, which was lingering despite yoga and chiropractor, is now GONE

♦ My doctor was totally impressed that I’m back to my original weight and I’ve never felt better. My inflammation is GONE! All the arthritic body and finger pain is gone, 24/7 it’s gone.

♦ The things that have improved for me include relief from arthritis pain in my hands (the reason I took the class), relief from heartburn, seasonal allergies (both winter and summer), I lost 19 pounds and my cholesterol dropped 19 points, seldom have hot flashes and the anxiety that accompanied them, and my memory has improved.

NECK PAIN

♦ I am feeling so much better: 1) I can turn my head from side to side—something I haven’t been able to do for months and months (a year or more?!)

♦ I’ve been on plan for 1 week. I have been plagued by a lot of tightness on the left side of my neck for many weeks (and it was a work-in-progress in loosening it with the assistance of my chiropractor). However, I am now seeing increased mobility, and I will be skipping a chiropractic appointment (with little concern). There is still some tightness in the neck area but it is not as prominent.

Arthritic neck pain is gone!

BACK, DISK PAIN

♦ Even low back pain is diminished and I can keep up with weight training, cycling, and spin classes.

♦ Start – waist 41 current 37, weight 175 current 168 – aches 0. My primary goal this year was to get back to my comfortable weight of 169-170 and be able to return to my regular exercise of jogging pain free. The first class I took years ago set me on a course of 6 years of healthy eating along with a good jogging routine. Then, I blew a disc in my back which took a year to heal. Two years later, I did it again. Lots of physical therapy, hardly any exercise and frequent exceptions to healthy eating. Tums and Tagamet allowed me to eat just about anything and not feel too awful. Can’t believe I did this but I did and then this year I knew had to get back to a healthy diet. I am so glad I took your class again (4 times I think?), I am running 2 miles a day and 3-4 miles once a week painlessly.

♦ I took your class two years ago and received practically immediate results. I had just been diagnosed with severe degenerative disk disease and my doctor wanted to give me shots every six months to deal with the pain. After the first seven days (yes, seven) on TQI my pain wasn’t just better, it was gone! I’m looking at an MRI that shows a bent spine and lots of inflammation, but the diet has helped me to continue to be active and pain-free. I am a one-man advertisement for your diet, and have recommended it to people all over the world.

♦ I have had chronic nerve pain in my back for over a decade, after the first day it has not returned!! Amazing! I had been in physical therapy for a year with only minimal results. Also improved mood, clarity of mind, more energy.

SCIATIC PAIN

♦ My constant sciatic pain has eased up.

GOUT PAIN

♦ I’ve lost 10 pounds beginning day 12 on the plan, I’ve also lost one inch. My aches and pains continue to diminish. My gout isn’t acting up at all. I’ve had back and hip pain for a few years now, I noticed last night that I am sleeping through the night without pain. My Crohn’s isn’t acting up at all, it seems to like the diet. My stomach isn’t twisting in knots, it stopped rumbling and twisting on Tuesday and hasn’t started up again.

♦ I signed up for class after a pretty intense gout attack in one of my knees. Neither of my knees has worked really well for years and I had big puffy bulges on the outside of each knee. I just woke up one morning to find that both of the big puffy bulges are TOTALLY gone and I can bend my knees again without pain. I was kind of shocked as I didn’t feel the swelling going down, but in fact it just disappeared. Amazing!

STIFFNESS

♦ Morning/generalized stiffness has completely resolved.
